Detector portal for HEMS the beamline
Detectorportal
Moveable detectorportal for the HEMS beamline at Petra III.
The detector can be adjusted very precisely in 3 dimensions.
Additionally it can be turned and tipped.
SANS1 at FRM2
Collimationline
Together with technical university of Munich the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht is buildung up a new SANS instrument.
The construction department and electronic department are deeply involved in either the mechanical as well as the electrionic development of this instrument. A new concept of controlling and visulisation was implemented by the electronic department in order to give a complete overview of the instrument just on one screen.
New detector with better specs
Kathode
In cooperation with the department WPN a new detector was developed which on one hand can be produced very easily and cost effective and on the other hand has got a better resolution and countrate.
The detector can be read out via delay-line technique or every single wire can be sampled .
At the moment the delay-line readout technique is under test.
For the production of the electrodes a wire-spinning machine was developed and the first electrodes were produced.
Tomography-camera
Head of the camera
Development of a tomography camera with very high resolution

Fine dust measuring system
Fssp Bodenmessung 02
Very small particles which are caused by combustion in a stove or car-motor can arise health problems. A new laser-measurement-system which is developed at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht supervises the pollution in the air directly.
Scientists and engineers at the Hemholtz-Zentrum have great experience in measuring particles.
Climatologist in Geesthacht have been using a former particle-measurement-system
to determine the magnitude relation of drops in clouds.
With the new P-M-S the Geesthacht engineers have developed a prototype which can
be used by the industry.
