The staffs of the working groups "Structural Research on New Materials" and "Structural Research on Macromolecules" together operate the instruments at the Geesthacht Neutron Facility (GeNF).
In addition to the instrumentation at GeNF they operate or build outstanding Neutron Scattering Instruments at the GKSS Outstation at FRM II in Garching as well as beamlines at DORIS and the, in future, worldwide leading Synchrotron source PETRA III at the GKSS Outstation at DESY in Hamburg.
