Today, over forty years after going into operation, the FRG-1 research reactor is still one of the most modern neutron sources in Europe. It supplies neutrons for the experiments carried out at wide variety of scientific research facilities. These neutrons can penetrate matter and thus provide information about the internal structures of materials and building components.
