Terms of Use

Private Use

You may freely use the images, films and sound recordings that you find on this website for private purposes. This includes:
  • copying images onto your computer
  • printing these images for the purpose of private archiving filing and decoration
  • giving these images to friends and family with proper attribution of their source

Use in Publications (Print, Radio, TV, Internet etc.)

For use in publications (also non-commercial publications such as school newspapers, etc), you may use these media free of charge and without notification if,
  • You are illustrating activities and products of the GKSS Research Centre Geesthacht in newspapers, journals, websites, radio or television reports, lectures, etc. and
  • You identify the "GKSS Research Centre Geesthacht" as the source of every image.

We expect two file copies of the products, to be sent to:

Other Use

Any use of these images or other media other than those enumerated here is prohibited. This applies especially but not exclusively to:
  • advertising, design of print advertisements, ad spots in radio or television, etc.
  • sale of products on which the images are prominently displayed (T-shirts, coffee mugs, large prints).
  • sale of digital copies of the image data or films.
  • use in articles without reference to GKSS-Research Centre Geesthacht.
Any change to the metadata of the image (IPTC-data) is not permitted in any case.
