Industrial Liaison Officer m/f

Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht is running the German Engineering Materials Science Centre (GEMS) based on the complementary use of synchrotron radiation and neutrons (http://gems.hzg.de). GEMS is operated at outstations at DESY in Hamburg (high-brilliance high-energy photons at PETRA III and DORIS III) and at the Forschungsneutronenquelle Heinz Maier-Leibnitz (FRM II) in Garching (close to Munich), the most powerful German neutron source. Our instrumentation is optimised for investigating engineering materials.

We offer beamtime to external users; even though the majority comes from academic research there is an increasing demand by industry. Within the EU INTERREG project “Science Link” we are promoting industrial research, in particular within the Baltic area. Within this framework, we are searching for an Industrial Liaison Officer m/f based in Hamburg (outstation at DESY).
